Capturing the perfect photo for Instagram with OnePlus

 

THE CHALLENGE

Raise awareness and brand affinity for OnePlus and their UK Launch.

THE STUDENT INSIGHT

While messaging and calling play a role, unquestionably all students use their phones for one main reason - photos. Whether its selfies in the club or instagram worthy snaps of their food, a lot of time, effort and concentration goes in to capturing the perfect shot.

THE BIG IDEA

So we created a two-part campaign, tapping into both the club scene and instagram. Firstly, OnePlus partnered with us on 'Clubbers of the Week' - The Tab's most famous editorial series. Essentially we take photos from club nights across a given city/the country and caption them humorously, giving out awards like 'Hero of the week', 'Third wheel of the week', 'Best photobomb' and so on'. 

We followed this with a story profiling the biggest student influencers on instagram as they took us through the tips, tricks and techniques to nail your profile.

Both campaigns were branded with OnePlus, featuring CTAs and product information throughout the stories.

THE RESULTS

  • In total there were over 45,00 views of the stories, with 500 clicks to the OnePlus site and over 660 engagements across social media (likes, shares, comments)
